Hi! My name is Wendi Coop and I am thrilled to be the music teacher at North Star.
I began my teaching career 20 years ago in my home state of Wyoming. After teaching for seven years in Wyoming, I met my husband and moved to Colorado. This is my 11th year in Adams 12 and my fifth year at North Star.
I love teaching music, but first and foremost I care about my students. My philosophy is: “students don’t care what you know until they know that you care.” I work hard to make music fun, engaging and to make sure my students know that I care about them. When students know you care about them, it creates a safe, learning environment where students are ready and eager to learn.
When not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our yellow lab, Maycee.
