UPDATES	Did you know? When compared to nearby school districts, Adams 12 Five Star Schools ranks 14th out of 15 nearby school districts in per student mill levy override (MLO) dollars. That means we have less money than others for ongoing teacher salaries and academic programming. In November, voters will decide on a proposed MLO, which would generate funding to invest in world-class staff, academic programming, and school safety. Learn more. Choice for the 2025-2026 School Year Opens on December 1! Click on the link beginning on December 1st to access the Choice application for the 2026-27 school year.
Community Liaison	SUPER H.E.R.O. ATTENDANCE AWARD Please have your children at school, on time and well rested everyday. The class with the highest attendance percentage will receive a surprise! Congratulations to Ms. Switzer’s class! They had the highest attendance percentage for the month of September! Bear Den Meeting - November 11, 2025 @ 3:15PM Join us for our first Bear Den meeting of this school year. Bear Den is an opportunity for parents and community members to have a voice in the continuous school improvement process. This team of volunteers meets with one or more teacher representatives and the building principal or designee at least four times per year to review school data, discuss the school improvement plan, provide recommendations about spending priorities and promote parent and community engagement. Members of the team learn about the important work of the school and offer insight and feedback.
Looking ahead	Daylight Saving Time - Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday, November 2nd! Don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour before going to bed Saturday night and enjoy an extra hour of sleep. There is NO SCHOOL on the following days: November 3, 2025 November 24 - 28, 2025 Information on our annual turkey giveaway is coming soon!
Attendance Matters	Friendly Attendance Reminders: Students automatically receive 5 excused absences per semester. Once they have reached their five, all full and partial day absences will be marked as Unexcused unless a doctor's note (or note from other qualified personnel) is provided. If you send a note in your child's backpack, please let us know so we can grab it! If your child will be absent, please leave a message on the Attendance Line at 720-972-5578, or if you would like to speak with a staff member, you can call the Main Office at 720-972-5560. If you have any questions or if you would like to check your child's year-to-date attendance, feel free to give us a call.
