NSE March Newsletter 2019
Greetings North Star Families,
I can’t believe it is already March! We are heading into a critical time of the school year where attendance each and every day is so important.
As you heard during parent conferences, your child’s teacher is working very hard with your child to ensure they make strong academic growth. We need your help to get them to school ready to learn. You can do this by having your child shut off electronics (TV, cell phones, video games) by 8 pm and spend 30 minutes a night reading. Both will help your child sleep more easily at night and be ready to get out of bed in the morning.
We are grateful to all our families for your support of the school. Listed below are many upcoming events for the months of March and early April.
CMAS testing is coming!
March is when we begin our state assessments called CMAS to measure student growth and achievement. All students in grades 3-5 participate in this important on-line assessment in reading and math. We ask that you make every effort to get your child to bed early so they will be wide awake for testing.
