Battle of the Books
Congratulations to our hard-working Battle of the Books (BOB) students! These students came weekly after school to our meetings, read many books, and competed in our school BOB battle on Apr. 22. Battle of the Books is a reading program that encourages students to read by offering them exciting, friendly competition based on their knowledge of a selected list of 10 books. The goal of the program is to encourage interactive reading of excellent children’s fiction and the discussion of these books by teams of four to six students. Our school team went to the Adams 12 district BOB battle on May 3 and competed against 22 other elementary schools. We are very proud of their hard work and dedication to reading!
